Case Study Essay. Is a Research of Space a Waste of Money?

Our universe is the biggest mystery that has been interesting for humans for many generations and nowadays science has reached grandiose results and is going further for much more incredible discoveries.

Space research occupies the prominent place in science and requires significant funding and resources to be conducted in the appropriate way and to give valuable results. And I think that everybody can wonder whether space research is beneficial for us or not, as much was spent, but whether it was worthy for that we do not know. In my case study I will try to answer this quite ambiguous question supporting my ideas with evident advantages.

First of all the biggest benefit from the investigation of our universe is the opportunity to know the truth about creation of our world and origin of our life. These questions have been asked since ancient times and with the development of science the answers to them are closer and closer. Also it is very useful for us to understand the fantastic complexity of our universe, specialty and uniqueness of our planet and characteristics of other celestial bodies.

What about our safety? Various Space Observatories scan the skies for asteroids, comets and UFOs that prevent and protect our world from danger. Moreover, all we realize that one day in the distant future the humanity will have to leave the Earth. Sure this issue is not so acute for our generation but it will be really that for our progeny, so we constantly have to know about space and keep updating our knowledge for long-term survival.

Thank to space explorations many new technologies are designed that can solve many different problems from better diagnostics of cancers to healthier food. In other words, NASA inventions are all around us and make our life more comfortable.

And finally, almost every space research project is the result of international cooperation that makes our world more holistic and affiliated for finding a solution to the problems of global significance.

All these discoveries and developments make space research really very beneficial, do not they? And how much unexplored and enigmatic left in our perpetual universe that can be discovered and used for human needs only by the diligent and cohesive proceedings of our dear scientists.
