Essay on the Philosophy of Education

Every person is a unique one and has own personality, individual ideas, mind, views on life, emotions, skills, etc. We can think, invent, realize and use our mind for implementing our ideas into reality. Sure, we can much more, but not all our abilities are given to us at birth, and we are responsible for their formation throughout our whole life. Even if you are an expert in any field, it doesn’t meet that you can’t continue improving yourself, as your potential is unmeasured and a process of its development is infinite.

That is education in my opinion and it begins from our first steps when our parents are our first teachers. They educate us from their point of view and play the major role in the early stages of our development. Then on our path of life we meet many different factors that contribute to the shaping of our personality and continue educate us after our mum and dad. They are so various and include, but are not limited to, nature, social groups, environment, experience, knowledge, relationships, work, hobby, etc.

In other words, education is a gradual process that is characterized by acquiring knowledge of theory and gaining practical skills. I think that the most important for us is the practical part of our education as it is always better just try once than read for ten times. Only our teachers, tutors or any experienced people can teach us the essential practical skills that will never be gotten through reading of mute books.

Finally, I would like to emphasize that thanks to our capability to think, develop and create, each of us can be involved in such a fascinating activity as educating, learning something and improving. I am sure that everything depends just on us as in fact genius are not born, they can become only through the diligent process of self-development and self-education.
